It's easier to keep in your mouth without lather going everywhere, since you're not supposed to rinse after brushing your teeth

I always rinse. Doesn't everyone? Odd having mouth with toothpaste foam

I started off with a toothpaste that didn't lather at all, and now it doesn't feel too weird. It takes some time getting used to, but it's better for your teeth in the long run!

Most people grow up rinsing, but essentially you're washing away all the fluoride

Oh right! Apologies, I was not aware of that

Edit: on second thoughts that makes a lot of sense

Right. Confession time.

I went and cleaned my teeth JUST so I can say this:

Toothpaste is dry and claggy and sticks to the top of your mouth if you don't put water on after the toothpaste.

I tell my girlfriend to brush my teeth and she does it for me.

That is dedication to the cause! :clap2: I salute you for your service.
I'm disappointed TSR

Not a SINGLE mention of flossing.

My dental hygienist would be giving you all disapproving looks and a disappointed sigh (and a printed out report with lots of orange and red on it to shame you into flossing)

Spoiler

and for the record

And I rinse the toothbrush and do a second brush rather than rinsing with water - best of both worlds
I would say it depends what end of it you have inserted in your backside. If you have inserted the bristles, definitely water first!
I guess I'm a freak, I always just stuck the paste on, then watered it.

electric or manual though?

Ah yeah,. don't forget the batteries
I do both.

I run my toothbrush under the tap, then put toothpaste on. The run it under the tap again so it goes all bubbly and foamy!
Water, then toothpaste. Old habits die hard, and whether it's the "right" way to do it or not... quite frankly, I couldn't care :h:
Toothpaste first and then under the tap, gotta say its never occurred to me to do it any other way. I also hope you are all turning the tap off after rinsing your toothbrush and not leaving it running while brushing your teeth.....
Run it under the tap first and then put the toothpaste on.

I'm not a savage. :colonhash:
Toothpaste first.
