What is one of the most interesting biological facts you know?

One thing I love about studying biology is that I find myself learning something new and amazing every lecture!

there's an immortal jellyfish
Marine flatworms engage in "penis" fencing when they mate. They try to stab each other in the body with their protrusions and inject each other with sperm.

The loser becomes the mother.

Kangaroos have 3 vaginas.
The DNA in each cell of your body, when stretched out, would be longer than you are.

Also, your body contains about as many bacterial cells as your own cells. Are you a human or a bacteria transport vehicle?

there are similar drug resistance mechanisms in cancer as there are for antibiotic resistance in bacteria :h:

Haha. You know I can't remember where I learned them. But it's quite possibly from those courses!
