Water does taste different. It's different in different regions and they put flouride into the water stream. An intake of too much flouride has been linked to various disorders etc in growing kids/teens.
That being said spend your money on what you want. Stop hating just because you're too poor to afford Fiji water (jokes)

Not all tap water tastes the same. Soft water tastes horrible (to me at-least).
