If you don't get in to Oxbridge, does it mean you are inferior?

Why? I wasn't even talking about your mental health lol. I am talking about your attitude. Just because you went to Oxford doesn't mean you are 'better than everyone else'

I didn't go to Oxford or Cambridge I'm a university dropout ffs so I don't have a vested interest in my opinion that if you're heavily into education, you're better than someone else who is heavily into education if you go to Oxbridge and they don't, other things equal.

I don't care that much about education. I dropped out of uni. My main interest is my guitar.

Which subject is this?

Electronic Engineering, for which Southampton and Imperial College are currently the frontrunners in the UK

I honestly disagree with this. It's not like that, at all. It's not right to make people feel inferior because they didn't attend Oxford/Cambridge. But anyway, that's my opinion.
Leave it to TSR to have people tell others to drink bleach over a sarcastic post.

i suppose i can partly see your point. there aren't hard and fast rules in the real world and you have to look at the individuals

Yes well engineering as a general course at Cambridge or Oxford with specialisation later on will allow you to make way more money in your life - it's a lot more prestigious

Imperial is good tho

So is someone who gets into Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge with A*AA academically better than someone who gets into Imperial Engineering with 5A*s and BMO2 qualification? :colonhash:

Did you just pull this out of nowhere to prove a point?

Because it's false btw

Oxford and Cambridge are overrated.

That's a huge lie, as employers in this industry are well aware of the quality of the graduates that other universities produce, and generally aren't impressed by the Oxbridge title.

ARM, for example, one of the largest UK-based technology companies, takes the vast majority of its graduate intake from Southampton.

Don't make wild claims without actually doing some research. I'm predicted A*A*A and have firmed So'ton as it's the best place in the country for Electronic Engineering right now.

Oh come on, do you honestly believe that people with mental health problems can't have sex/be in a relationship? Wth? Of course they can.

Literally the same entry requirements. Plus I have no clue about the top grads, I'm just saying what my maths teacher told me

*triggered*

Cambridge requirements are A*A*A + 11 in STEP II and STEP III

Warwick's easy entry requirements are A*A*A + 2 in STEP 1.

Ask anyone who does STEP and they will tell you cambridge's much higher STEP requirements makes it much harder to get into.

But you were the one who said 'I question your fantastically progressive ideas on what people with mental illnesses should be able to do'?
Wow how are non-oxbridge students less inferior - thats a big big lie.

Nah, I'm just really tired..... And what? That wasn't my point at all. I simply said that it probably wasn't the mental illness stopping him from getting what he wants, more likely his attitude. And there's nothing arrogant about that.

LMFAO stop chatting out of your ass 😂😂😂😂

I actually got tears from reading this steaming pile of ****. Clearly you haven't a clue about the electronics/engineering industry.

I went by the website, which says '+ STEP'. Also I'm not intending to apply to Cambridge or Warwick for that matter, so I don't really care.
