Full list of which robots are competing, and in which heat (so don't click if you'd rather it was a surprise!)

Yes but Craig Charles is not the presenter I heard
Road Block!
I'm really excited for this. I was going to start a thread yesterday.

Anyone answer me this question- Are the (modified) House Robots, the original models?
Or are they rebuild?

I'm really worried they have taken the original models and updated them. Who should I email?

I used to watch it, but then one of my friends told me it was staged. Is it true? xD
I just bought the board game - it's bloody brilliant. I remember this from when I was little. My younger brother and I were bloodthirsty (or oilthirsty X3) little demons!

No I don't think so. I mean sometimes things did go wrong- controllers not working for instance but I don't think it was staged.

Sometimes the rules were bent a little for certain robots and the House Robots sometimes attacked robots more so than the others.

Parts of the Seventh Wars were horrendously fixed, as the producers didn't want a certain competitor (Storm II) to win, but barring a few low points like that, the first run was not staged. Hopefully nothing in the reboot will be.

At least Jonathan Pearce is back. Robot Wars wouldn't be the same without him.
Not this year, I'm afraid (not enough time to update their 13 year old robot), but the team have stated they're interested in returning for later series.
Thermidor 2 will be there, looking more evil than previously.

Stinger isn't in the lineup for this year, but they're still around (if a bit rusty and tired-looking) - there are plenty of videos of them on Youtube competing in recent events.

I hope Matilda is as ruthless as before. :lockstock:
Sadly not. I imagine they couldn't think of a way to update him to be as destructive as the others - his flamethrower and rear saw/claw were probably the least dangerous of the house robot arsenal (excluding Cassius Chrome's punch), and the competitors have improved a lot since then. Still, we could see him return for a later series, who knows?
Can't wait for this.

I preferred the old Matilda's tail though.

Does anyone remember that BBC3 show with fictional creature cgi things that would fight each other? There was a lava one I recall but that's it :frown: Every 6 months or so I have vague memories of it and it bugs me.

Bamzooki was another show that was awesome  I wasted many hours making creatures on there as a child, pretty impressive really considering it was 10 years ago.

I do sir. It was called Fightbox.

It hasn't aged well but it was enjoyable.
The first comment says it all really-
" Jut imagine how many poor b****** British kids (Who are now adults) are trying to remember the name of this show.... damn... so glad I found it. "

Anyone remember the Robot Olympics show on around the same time?
