I just bought the board game - it's bloody brilliant. I remember this from when I was little. My younger brother and I were bloodthirsty (or oilthirsty X3) little demons!
Not this year, I'm afraid (not enough time to update their 13 year old robot), but the team have stated they're interested in returning for later series.
Stinger isn't in the lineup for this year, but they're still around (if a bit rusty and tired-looking) - there are plenty of videos of them on Youtube competing in recent events.
Sadly not. I imagine they couldn't think of a way to update him to be as destructive as the others - his flamethrower and rear saw/claw were probably the least dangerous of the house robot arsenal (excluding Cassius Chrome's punch), and the competitors have improved a lot since then. Still, we could see him return for a later series, who knows?
Does anyone remember that BBC3 show with fictional creature cgi things that would fight each other? There was a lava one I recall but that's it Every 6 months or so I have vague memories of it and it bugs me.
Bamzooki was another show that was awesome I wasted many hours making creatures on there as a child, pretty impressive really considering it was 10 years ago.
It hasn't aged well but it was enjoyable. The first comment says it all really- " Jut imagine how many poor b****** British kids (Who are now adults) are trying to remember the name of this show.... damn... so glad I found it. "
Anyone remember the Robot Olympics show on around the same time?
