What I don't get is the following:

1) Batteries shipped with, or contained in, electronic goods (such as laptops, mobile phones etc) are fine to send.
2) New alkaline and rechargeable (Ni-MH or Ni-Cd) batteries are fine to send.

But:
1) Any type of lithium battery, new or used, cannot be sent on its own via Royal mail.

Some sellers use MyHermes couriers instead, but they don't really allow batteries, and I wouldn't want to use MyHermes, based on reviews I have seen and videos on the web. (Parcels are very roughly handled, can be dropped, thrown over fences etc.)

The only way is to use Collect Plus couriers - which I did.

Oh, ok, yeah, that is a little strange...... Something could happen to the batteries, whilst they're in a device......so why allow that?

I've had myHermes deliver parcels to me, I've never had a problem, and they're returns system is great too, however I didn't know about the fact that they "roughly handle" parcels :s-smilie:

Great!
