Twitter/AlJazeera Arabic/Sky seem to be quickest

BBC is always a snail when it comes to live reporting

Just flicked over to Sky News, much better.

Some people are quick these days...

Sky News livestream from web and Youtube.
Apparently the helicopters getting shot down are actually erdogan's helos by coup jets.
Apparently TV station that was under military control that released the information about the military gaining control has been freed and they are hold a press conference.

Video of parliament getting bombed. Warning, graphic content:

Spoiler

Damn you.
I was getting worried of what I was about to see.
Pleasant surprise though.
I'm surprised at how many people are still out late at night and awake at 3am local time. Get some sleep, the bombs and gunshots can't be that loud.

How are people watching this?

I'm on the BBC News Channel, but I don't know if they seem to be slow. Someone above me just said that there have been 9 airstrikes but BBC haven't mentioned that.

Download Periscope
What is known so far? Was out at a party so I didn't see this news break.

Hand grenade

Aljazera reporting Jets/helicopters bombing Parliament building can you confirm?
Is any of this on Turkish media?
I've never seen anything like this before in my life. I mean this is Turkey, a large and relatively powerful country.
Tanks on the street, F16's less than 100m from the ground....
And Erdogan, no where to be seen

Yes, civilians. They are also starting to execute people on periscope

I just saw the video of a tank crushing some people.

I haven't seen any clear evidence of "executions".

Also, I saw some cars get crushed, but no people, where did you see that?

Incredible

They do have a history of coups though.

I think the use of Facebook Live here is amazing, I personally wouldn't have the impulse to get my phone out and start recording during all that!

Was the guy trying to stop the tank with his body?

Yes please. I have to see the real media, not what Sky, BBC etc. want me to see.
