checking for eligibility for additional financial help

Hi

Is it the student or the parent who ticks the box on the SFE (online) form to give permission to check to see if the student is eligible for any additional financial help?

With regard to my step son, my husband feels he ticked a box giving permission to do so and I cannot recall either way!

Is there anywhere we can view the information/form we both submitted to support our son's application?
