She's done that in response to abuse.

Not as sad and deplorable as the effects so called 'just words' have on someone who suffers real discrimination because they're part of a marginalised or minority group. That's sad.

It isn't? So kids for example... We should teach our children that racism and other forms of discrimination are just fine because they're just word, just ignore them. And if there are inevitable insidious effects? Pretend nothing's happening, better yet shove your head in the sand and hope they don't start with the fisty cuffs because then you've got big trouble . . .
