How difficult is it to get into graduate medicine?

I'll be studying pharmacy at uni and was wondering how difficult it is to get into graduate medicine.

Any success stories? (or rejection stories)

Hmmm depends on the person. provided you meet the minimum requirements AND you score highly in the ukcat/gamsat, then its not particularly difficult.

Most difficult part is getting the interview, once you get it, its easy. But competition is much fiercer for GEM than normal entry and you needed to demonstrate much more knowledge about what being a doctor entails along with more extra cirriculars etc since you're seen as older more mature, they also expect you to have done more research and more things in your life than an 18 year old.

GEM at imperial (got in before they ended their 4 year course)
