For Morgan Stanley, for the number of UCAS points - is it just from the top three A Levels? Don't include AS Levels etc.?

Does anyone know of anywhere that say the date that specific firms open internship applications (like the LSE closing date one)? I know that Credit Suisse, Goldman, Barclays, HSBC, UBS and JP Morgan are open now.

What website ...*

I mean that they've started opening applications, which means that frequent checks will undoubtedly result in a successful one quite soon.

I'm new to all the job test preparation, so I had a few questions about prep for interviews & testing:

1) Which would you all recommend of the following (or any others I haven't mentioned)?

AssessmentDay: https://www.assessmentday.co.uk/buy/aptitudetests_numerical_buy.htm (£35)
Assessment Centre HQ: https://www.assessmentcentrehq.com/ultimate-guidev3/ (£25)
Graduate Monkey: https://www.graduatemonkey.com/bundle-aptitude-test-pack.html (£59)

Do any of these^ cover (a large majority of) the required preparation for testing in banking/finance roles discussed on this forum? And how long should it take to prepare for this testing, given you're spending 4-5 hours a day prepping?

2) Is the $77 Mergers & Inquisitions subscription any good/worth it? Is anyone using it atm?

Thanks in advance!

I had AssessmentDay last year and it was okay, appaz Graduate Monkey has a slightly more similar questions to the real tests.
and yeah if you buy the bundle it should cover all verbal, numerical, SJT etc that could come up in different finance roles/firms

It depends on where you are starting from, if you are at zero and never done anything similar to these then probably 20-25 hours for each type of test (numerical, verbal,..) should be enough.

I would personally suggest spending your money on a real subscription e.g. FT, WSJ, etc but I cant comment as I have never had the $77 one
Which banks do verbal tests?

Credit Suisse, HSBC............... ?

mate, the tests are just used to sift out the people with poor numerical/verbal/logical skills and distinguish the very top performers. The questions themselves are pretty straight forward, it's just a matter of technique. I highly doubt you'd need to do more than 5 tests of each type before you've got the tekkers and are ready to go. Try sharing a subscription with someone, don't waste your time and money!

To be honest, everything you really need to prepare can be found for free online. The stuff you have to pay for is, in my opinion, a pretty big waste of money. You're better of getting a subscription in FT or something and reading Bloomberg and knowing the industry. If you're right for banking and know the industry really well, you shouldn't need to pay for anything. In terms of assessments, your uni will probably be able to provide you with free practice tests and there are enough online. I think after you've done 5 or 6 you won't improve much more, so again, waste of money.
