Ok, because I know this family (mother and two daughters) personally who are on the brink of becoming homeless and even the council is not helping them so someone has set up a Gofundme fundraiser for them. So, if you are interested, let me know, I will link it.

Sure, send the link, I'll definitely consider it.

I use this http://oneummah.org.uk/ normally.

They have a 100% donation policy.

Jzk, it's hard to find charities with 100% donation policies. But I wonder how they cover other costs :hmmmm:

BarakAllahu Feek.

A thing they've added is a feature which allows you to put a small amount of money towards operational costs. This is separate money, not taken from your donation and you can choose to not give it all if you don't want. Although thats a fairly new feature so I don't know how they managed before then.

I have seen one of the main guys who is involved in the charity. He had a nice car ( :tongue: ) so I think perhaps some of them might've funded the charity out of their own money to begin with.

I think they use the money from gift aid for their admin costs.

Money given in donations can be used to fund the charity/admin/wages and the like, that's what I have heard anyway. It doesn't take away from your charity but it is allowed if the charity functions off it or will cease to exist otherwise. Forgive me if I'm wrong.

Yh it can but I thought the 100% donation policy meant that they don't use any of your money for the charity itself?

No they don't. They have to state the admin. I think Muslim Aid is around 4%.

Surah Az-Zumar. Ayahs 10 and 11.:biggrin::h:
Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) recited, “That Day it (the earth) will reveal its news (about all that happened over it of good or evil).” (99:4). Then He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) inquired, “Do you know what its news are?” He was told: “Allah and His Messenger know better”. He said, “Its news is that it shall bear witness against every slave man and woman they did on its back. It will say: ‘You did this and this on such and such day.’ Those will be its news.”
[At-Tirmidhi]
Commentary:
This Hadith makes evident the perfect Omnipotence of Allah by telling us that He will bestow power of speech on the earth and it will bear witness to the acts committed on its surface. It has stern warning for people that however they may try to hide their sins from others, they will not be able to save themselves from Allah and His system of accountability.
Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "How can I feel at ease when the Angel of the Trumpet, (Israfil) has put his lips to the Trumpet and is waiting for the order to blow it". He (ﷺ) perceived as if this had shocked his Companions, so he (ﷺ) told them to seek comfort through reciting: 'Hasbunallah wa ni'mal-Wakil [Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)]".

[At-Tirmidhi].
