How do i survive on £10 a week?!

can yo find enough food to survive on £10 a week? probably... however you'll be really unhealthy (living on rice/pasta) and you will have nothing at all for extras - socialising, clothes, train home, etc - expenses will likely come up at some point in the year whether it's ripping your jeans, shoes wearing out or your laptop breaking, you really need a bit more than the bare minimum

My accommodation will cost £5,800 overall. My overall student finance = £6,200
That leaves £400 for 10 months
£400 divided by 10 = £40 per month
So, £10 per week

I am literally going to be the poorest student ever. I'll probably only shower about once a month just so i can save on shampoo body wash....

I have to get four trains home so it looks like i'll never be going home again haha. It's also stuff like books, makeup, cleaning products, hygiene products and trips organised by the uni that i won't be able to afford

Find a cheaper accommodation. Problem solved.

Don't you have any savings? Why don't you get a part time job?

Falmouth University also have an student ambassador system! This means you can apply to be an student ambassador for the University and most importantly earn money. I think its around £6.70 per hour. Your job will entail working open days, assisting at interview days and site visits! And best of all you chose when you want to work so it doesn't interfere with your University work. This definitely helped me get through Uni, and looks great on your CV.

here's what you do

1.get you loads of tins and some bread...
2. freeze your meats and reuse, freeze, repeat process lmao
3. eat.

Try to spend £5 per week instead of £10, and save the rest. Cheap pasta/rice - 20p pasta should last almost a week. Milk is about £1, bread is about £0.50 in supermarkets. Don't buy from your local shop, only buy groceries from supermarkets even if you have to walk further.
That's £20 per month - buy cheap makeup, only the basics and save the rest. Cleaning and hygiene products aren't that expensive (for non-branded) - maybe £5 a month including makeup. That leaves £15 per month for savings. Budget properly and you'll be able to afford books and Uni trips as well.

Change your accomodation and get a one around £4500. Thats £100 per month saved. Then get yourself a job working 1 day a week. theres another £200per month easy.

There you go, an extra £75 per week.

My student finance has come through and i have worked out i will only have £10 a week to live on, how the hell am i going to live on this? Does anyone have any tips on living on such a *****y income??? Also my parents can't help me out as they both work on minimum wage. Im so so so so so annoyed. Am i just not going to be able to have a social life? Is shopping in pound land going to be my life now?
