Change of course after 1st year

Dear SFE,

I'm a BA undergrad and I've just finished my 1st year of a 3-year English course. However, I've decided I want to change course onto a 4-year Languages BA (3rd year spent abroad).

Will I be able to get funding for the whole of my course? And how does funding work for a year spent abroad?

Hi Will, if you have only 1 year previous study then you will still get full funding for the full 4 year course as each student is given an extra year of funding. When studying overseas you can still apply for the full funding, normally the tuition fees are a lower amount as you are not at the university but this can be checked with your university. Thanks.
