How are you guys distracting yourself, it's on my mind so much :/

I'm not, it's always on my mind but I don't mind it

Guys, in around 10 nights, we'll be able to sleep without all these dreams.
Think of that

Haha optimism for the win!!!

I'm doing NCS which clashes with results day.
No better way to take your mind off failing GCSEs like a freezing cold tent in the middle of nowhere.
I can't even predict I just want to cry lmaoo its too much. Though I'd be content with at least 6A*s 4As and a B and that too if i am lucky the exams were horrible especially further maths what was that.

Last night I had a dream about the grade boundary for edexcel maths!!!! It was 178 for an A*

God forbid, I think your dream was actually a nightmare.

Hmmmm, that explains why I woke up sweating

I still don't get it. Who gets to do it?

Anyone in the UK can do it if their school chooses too (no idea why my school chose it :colonhash:) and also people outside the UK, as it is an 'International GCSE'.

Horrible feeling for me too when I realise someone without a clue about the subject ( i.e not specialised so only has a basic knowledge) can impact your future. Well we can pray the examiners are nice this year lol

Exactly - especially when she said that they won't know that your answer is still correct if it's not on the mark scheme :afraid:

If they're not nice I'm 100% ****ed

Igcse is an objectively more challenging qualification, no debate

I agree. On my CV etc, I'm definitely putting down that I did 2 iGCSEs instead of saying they're normal GCSEs

oh god i agree, i did igcse for all of my exams and i found them a lot harder than i expected them to be.

i have no idea how everyone is so confident about their exam results when i'm sitting here sh*tting bricks and hoping i'll get what i need to go to college :')

Thanks this is so helpful Surina:smile: I am so nervous for results day which is only 11 days away and 10 days for the GBs!

Glad you found it useful
Ah I'm sure you did amazingly! Just try not to think about it (which I know sounds impossible) because at the end of the day, there's nothing any of us can do now and stressing is just going to make us all feel a whole lot worse about any situation on results day :h:
Not even sure if I'll look at the GBs straight away because I feel like I would panic and try and remember where I lost all my marks etc? Idk
Is it weird that I'm more excited for the release of grade boundaries on the 24th than actual results day?

That's strange because my friend is also doing NCS and she said that they cancelled the 25th because most of the people in her programme were in Year 11

Nope. I'm using the GBs as a final prediction of my actual grades

But you don't know what you've got? So that's a risky game really. You could of thought you got a point somewhere and you didn't, or visa versa

Yh, sometimes you've gotta take risks (especially if you're quite impatient, like me)
Usually I count up the number of marks I think I could get. Then I look at the unofficial markscheme and re-count, marking harshly to lessen disappointment. I will look at the boundaries and use my predicted scores to get a more accurate estimate (not that this was ever accurate in the first place lmao)

But you might get it completely wrong and either disappoint yourself or go oh I did better than expected?
In the March mocks I achieved
English lit A*
English Lang A*
History A*
ICT A*
Child development A*
Core science B
Additional science D (I'll when sat)
Maths C (been weak af with it since like year 2)
French C

However my coursework was at largely around the time my gran died, my parents split, my mum got I'll and I got I'll and is mainly just C's, so I'm expecting mainly C's and B's with probably a U in French!

I didn't even do speaking so you'll get a higher grade than me in French 😂
But I'm sure you've done okay. I've had something going on similar but not the same as you have during my GCSEs, but when I revise heavy it pops out my brain. And I talk to myself in the exam in my head about the questions and how smart the examiners think they are.

And when I finish I sit there imaging what the invidulators are thinking and saying to each other with funny results 😂 I'm so weird
