How was your timetable? Did you manage to meet up with your friends who do other courses?

PLEASE do not take this the wrongway. How do you find people view the status of the uni? I got A*A*M1 but wasrejected by Durham after results and so got into QMUL as an insurance (forHistory). However, I feel other potentially more prestigious unis would stillbe interested in me if I applied next year. Do you find QMUL's status is high?Do you think it matters? Thanks

Whatare the postgrad prospects like? Do many people get in to do masters at placeslike Kings, UCL, Oxbridge?

A= My timetable for the first two years was four modules, which ran over both semesters. There was accordingly four hours of lectures and four hours of seminars a week, which left more than enough time for socialising across courses.

A= I've not really thought about prestige, as those sort of considerations kind of evaporate once you're out of TSR and your sixth-form common room.

However, QM is prestigious enough - as a RG uni and a University of London member - to have some truly super-star professors, at least in politics. It's well known for the Barts medicine school, as well as its place as one of the best Law unis in the country. History? I'm not too sure, although I've never really heard of anyone speak of a university's history department in general considerations of prestige.

A= The postgraduate prospects are quite high, as long as your grade is equally high (usually a high 2:1 or above is required for any of the above).

However, equally important is what opportunities you take outside of the university: anything with research experience is highly desirable. One of my dear friends is about to start his Masters at Cambridge this September, a door which was partly opened thanks to a QM summer scholarship which sent him off to study there for a month in his second year. (Which he used helping Dr Ella McPherson on one of her projects).

My forehead is the size of a lorry, you'll manage.
What do you actually do on the first day of QM?
Most people start on the 19th.
Does freshers week begin then? Is this where we join societies like in pitch perfect 😂😂😂
