Signing up to sixth form on results day

I recently moved away from my home town (3 hours away in fact) but i've got to go back on Thursday to collect my GCSE results but i also need to sign up to my new school sixth form courses on the same day am I able to do this by phone as otherwise i'm not sure how i'm going to get to my new school before it closes as i cant collect results till 10 and the school closes at 1 ish if anyone could help i would be grateful.
