I'm not a guy but can I just say something. Too many people go to uni with the idea that freshers is some sex filled orgie environment where everybody gets laid everyday, multiple times a day.

It's not

You're right: someone has to hold the towels.

It can move the period if she takes it before her period starts

So essentially, if you're still having ~week long periods regularly you're just not taking the pill properly (assuming you dislike the periods)?

Are you one of the people that happily takes antibiotics?
Shame on you.

Well, someone can certainly expect to forgo the lion's share of frenzied, spontaneous, heat-of-the-moment first-date sex with that attitude.
You could use the patch?

No, I'm not.

I can't use condoms because of my dick. It's abnormal.

I have wrote many times before though how much I hate that there is no male pill so all the hormonal, interceptive, burden is on the women.

And indeed Profesh, spontaneous sex doesn't work for me. A shame in one way, but not a big loss really. Makes the actual sex a lot better and I can last really long with my weird penis so it's awesome

Well there's different types of pills though... Ngl, I don't really understand it. Girls tend to not enjoy sharing this information.

When you go to the doctor for the first time and discuss contraceptions and basically start on the pill what sort of pill do they typically give you? Is that typically the combined 21 day then rest week pill? Note I'm asking for the average here, not what happened to you - I'm assuming you've discussed this with other women more than I have and perhaps know more about the different types of pills than I.

Also having spoke to my last gf and my mother about pills, their pills never stopped their periods... What pill were they on if you're saying most pills eventually do stop your period...?

The combined 21 day pill is definitely the most common. That stops your period because it stops ovulation, so you don't release any eggs. When you stop taking it you have a sort of period, but it's not the same.

I think the pill your girlfriend must have taken was the progesterone only pill, which doesn't always stop ovulation depending on the type. I'm not sure sure about that form of pill though, I only know one girl who took it and it didn't suit her at all.

Useless your dick has sharp prongs on it then a condom should work for you.

Or very little sensitivity.

Did you really just use the term "mansplain" unironically? Ugh, you're disgusting.

I was not being serious, no.

But the fact that you find the use of the term mansplaining to be disgusting suggests you must lead a very small and sheltered life. Of all the things out there that are disgusting, the term "mansplain" is pretty low on the list...

I see...

Why would a doctor put you on that though rather than the combined pill? Especially when you find periods annoying...

How is your dick abnormal? I would never have sex with someone unless they were wearing a condom. Sensitivity issues are ********. Crap excuse.

Well you'd never be having sex with me then, bravo.

It's not ideal, it's why I don't do casual sex, well, that and emotional issues hehe.

But really, I tried sooooo hard. Legit tried 20 different condoms. I cannot feel anything at all with them on (and thus go soft rather quickly as there's nothing sexy really about humping the air or having a girl sit on your belly and bounce upon and down on it which really is all it feels like). I barely feel much when having sex and I cannot ejaculate with my hand alone in masturbation unless I haven't came in at least a week (even then I nearly always need porn, or some external stimulus and it takes roughly an hour). It's a real thing. I think the damage is done now though. I tried a period of way less masturbation for 3months and it just didn't make a difference and drove me mad. Oh and I should say I've never ejaculated to a handjob or blowjob before either (which includes a time wherein I was so horny my body started spasming uncontrollably).

So no, I won't be having condom sex anytime soon.

Also, because of the no condom thing I never pressure a partner into sex. I'm a firm believer that you will have a better sexual relationship if you force yourself to have non-penetrative sex 3 or 4 times before you actually do that anyway. Just makes you appreciate the smaller things like dry humping even more :P

Probably cry and continue hating the whole world as I do now.

You know that freshers week is not the only time in the year where you can have sex, right?

Facepalm...
I need to meet more girls like OP.

I think sometimes the combined pill just doesn't really work some girls. A friend of mine had spotting whilst taking it, and another girl found it made her dry down there (tmi?). For some girls it's a case of trying out different ones to see what suits. Or another girl I know found that after a few years on the combined pill, the break weeks would give her severe headaches, almost a withdrawal reaction.
Yeah I wouldn't care that much tbh as long as she didn't have an STD or anything
