Looking for a new laptop

So im looking for a laptop capable of handling video editing well as I will be an undergrad film studies student soon, max £700ish and I want to run on windows. Can anyone offer any help on what laptop to get or any specifications to look out for when choosing? Advice is much appreciated

I'd try and find one on the Dell Outlet site - basically full of laptops that have been returned to Dell (and their fault fixed) and their price is then hugely discounted.

With your budget you could go for a XPS 13/low-spec 15 ( a very nice laptop!)

Okay cheers man i'll look into it
XPS are nice machines. If you want something premium I like the HP Spectre X360. It folds into a (slightly heavier) tablet, it's touch screen too. I opted for this over a Mac because I wanted to stick with Windows. It's really thin and quiet  http://compadvance.co.uk/en/item/420616/HP-Spectre-x360-13-4118na?gclid=CKDkxv2M2s4CFUw8Gwod1IENjA
Any laptops lower than 300 which are good? #poorpersonlife

I found this one. You really want a new laptop with an i7 processor and at least 8 gig of ram for that money. Also buy new, not second user thanks. New is much better.

Not really, i brought my last laptop sub 300, and for an extra 50, i could have got an i3 processor, which is really the minimum build, for a decent laptop!
