How do I simplify this???

Simplify: 3x(3x^1/3)^3

The answers 81 but how do you get this?

Is that first x a multiplication symbol or the variable x?
Btw you can't "simplify" something and get an answer. After simplifying something you just get a less complex version of the equation/expression.

It's the variable x
Okay,assuming both xs are variables then by simplifying you'd get:
(3x)(3x) as the ^1/3 would cancel out with the ^3 outside of the brackets.
(3x)(3x) would then give you 9x^2 which would be the simplified version. However if you said that the "answer" is 81 you'd equate both:
9x^2=81 making x=1
