Yeah this is pretty basic simplification. Exams would want to see you apply this in more complicated questions such as expanding. Have a go at the one's I've posted before.

Careful. You decomposed the roots correctly, but remember that you are also multiplying those roots by the 3 and 2 which you forgot to include.
