Hi. I just registered for this class. Doing it as my first course towards the degree in Computing and IT.How do I get a OU e-mail address. They want it so that I can join the facebook groups? I have never been offered one.Hope we can all help each other to succeed.Toni

Your OU email is through Google Apps. On your StudentHome page, there should be a link to open your Google Apps site and/or change your Google nickname (which is also your email address).

Hi

I've enrolled to start in Oct for this module. I went through student finance, open uni paid half the course for me which was handy. You get Microsoft package (word, excel etc) free using the student email address which is good since I didn't have it.

Just waiting patiently to start the course now like everyone else anxious to read that first question or task haha.

I've registered to Start this in October also :smile:

I'm just worried that my student loan won't be approved in time :/
Anyway, anybody doing this course please feel free to add me on facebook. It would be good to keep in contact with as many of you as possible during this journey :smile:

I never knew we could get the Microsoft package, that's good! Is the online version or can you actually install it to your PC?

Yes you can install it in on your PC it's great. You enter your email in and they send you a link to download and install it to your PC
