Honestly I would prefer AQA since its virtually impossible to find revision guides and websites that cater to the WJEC syllabus.
Are you guys studying the Nazis, The Apartheid and the Black Civil Rights movement in the USA?
(would have preferred to study the cold war instead though)

Hey! I don't know about you, but the modules in my History course are: The Role/Status of Women in the 20th Century, Medicine Through Time and the American West. We also have a coursework module about The Rebecca Riots. We simply analyse sources and challenge their reliability, as well as challenge others' interpretations of what caused the Rebecca riots. I'm fed up of hearing the word 'Rebecca' if I'm honest.
I sat the Women module in June, so I'll be studying the Medicine and American West modules this upcoming year. I think we're doing different routes of the course. I presume you're doing Route A.

Does anybody in this thread study WJEC English Literature? If so, what are your set texts? As far as I know, I'm studying Romeo & Juliet, An Inspector Calls, Heroes and Of Mice And Men. I don't know if there's more.
If anybody else is sitting the Literature exam in January, how are you revsing/preparing for it? I don't even know where to start if I'm honest.

Yes we have, we spent around half the year on Macbeth and Dr. Jekyll, and the other half on EngLang exam techniques, and how to answer each type of question. It's quite dull, both as a play and as literature, but it's not too bad to analyse, tbh.

I'm working at a 7 in Lang and an 8 in Literature. I'm not really sure how to be honest as I don't feel confident in English at all. Please feel free to PM to discuss this. We can definitely work to improve our grades.
What grade do you want to achieve for Language and Literature?
Have you talked to your teacher about how you can improve your grade?
If there ever was a way to improve your English grade it is by practicing as many questions as possible and asking for advice from your teacher.

Thank you to everyone for the help with maths. I'm going to buy the cgp edexcel maths revision guide which has practice questions and worked examples. My school does use mymaths so i'll be using that through the year as well as watching the videos as recommeneded!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to revise english literature? I'm with the board wjec, eduqas and i'm doing macbeth, lord of the flies, dr jekyll and mr hyde and a poem anthology. I don't how i'm going to memorise a load of quotations for all of these texts.

Hello. I'm generally lacking on actual hobbies since most of the time I surf the Internet for generally information outside the upper boundaries of GCSE knowledge- this has helped me compared to last years results especially in Triple Science and it has also helped me sustain my current Maths grades (after the specimen tests were introduced, pupil's grades fell by 1-2 grades)

Study tips to get the grade you want

Be persistent.
•
Use the Pomodoro Technique (google it if you don't know), it is a really effective way of getting a lot of work done in a short amount of time.
•
Listen to some Focus music on Spotify or something to help you concentrate!
•
Be organised and neat with work so you can easily review it later when you need it.
•
If your struggling, ask the teacher (or friends
) or do some research by yourself on the internet to help you understand. Things like YouTube, BBC Bitesize et cetera...
•
Be creative with notes, don't just write them out, highlight important things to remember and keywords.
•
Don't just copy from a textbook, you won't understand (well I don't). Instead read the textbook then when you're making the notes try to put it into your own words, simplify it so it can be easier to comprehend.
•
I drank lots of caffeine (especially coffee because it is slow-release) during exam season to make me more alert and do stuff... quickly 
It actually helps most people but I wouldn't recommend drinking any quick-release caffeine or drinking it after noon because it is going to be hard to go to sleep.
•
On that note, get LOTS of sleep.
•
Also on that note, read your notes/textbook/work before you go to bed because it will be easier to remember.
•
Find out your learning style. You could be an audio learner, visual, kinesthetic... I am mostly a visual learner. Click here to do a small test to find out what kind of learner you are 
•
BIG tip. Plan ahead, if your going to do 2 hours of studying tomorrow make sure you do that, if you only manage to do 1 hour don't let that discourage you. You can always make up for it the next day, maybe the next day your planning to do 2 hours but since you missed out on 1 hour that day you add it on to make 3 hours. Just have that mindset and it will get you through it.
•
Don't stress, more you do the more likely you are going to freak out mid-test and possibly fail.
