Need Some A Level Advice

I'm likely taking English Lit, History, Chemistry and Maths at AS level, dropping Chemistry at A2 in order to take a law degree.
What's your experiences with these subjects - and is Chemistry too hard for a 'throwaway' subject (even though it is my best science and the one I'm most interested in)
