Student finance - won't find university/course

Hiya, I am currently trying to apply for student finance. I have sent off my application however they have said they need my course details, as apparently the ones I have provided don't match the college.
However, when I search for the college (Cornwall College Newquay) it does not appear in the list. I cannot continue with the application unless I put this college in. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
Many thanks
Hi

I'm starting my application for graduate medicine (4 years) and have got to the stage where I need to enter my university. However, it does not recognise my choices:
University of Liverpool
University of Nottingham

They are pretty big unis so they should be there!

Also I found Swansea but it claimed there was no medicine course.

Help?

Hey! I'm going to be studying medicine at brighton and sussex medical school, sent off my student finance application and now it's saying it can't find that university or my course to match it? Will only accept university of sussex and not with medicine???

Hi there

I've seen some people with these sorts of problems tweeting at SFE as well so I thought it would be useful to merge and stick your threads so that @Mark Lee - SFE Official Adviser can deal with them all in one place. On twitter SFE have been asking for the UCAS course codes of the courses concerned so that might be useful to post in this thread.

Just to say see http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showpost.php?p=63124355&postcount=62 as well - another TSR user with the same problem found switching browser solved the problem

The student finance website wasn't working for me using mozilla firefox, it kept saying my course and university didn't exist when I typed them in, and after about half an hour of trying to get it to find my course (which I checked it was the right code and everything), I switched to internet explorer and it worked first time.:frown:So if anyone else has any troubles with it, try changing the internet browser, it doesn't work properly on all of them.
Hello,

I applied a while ago to my University course at Plymouth University, but my application since has been cancelled - I made a mistake - and I have had to start again.
This time around, however, there appears to be no option for Primary Teaching at all, and I am specialising in Humanities. No specialisms come up for Primary Teaching at Plymouth University at all, but I know that they have done before. I have tried different browsers, and using the course code, none of which worked. Obviously my application cannot be processed until this has been completed, so I would like this to be fixed ASAP please

To get it fixed call Plymouth and SFE.

Hey there! I applied for a tuition loan and not a maintenance loan because it was needed and I've already got the letter and signed and sent it. However, now my circumstances have changed and I will be needing a maintenance loan. How do I go about that? Can I still get a maintenance loan?

Hi,

It depends on which academic year you are studying in. If its the 16/17 year, you may be able to change your requested maintenance loan online, or give us a call on 0300 100 0607, and we can send you a loan request form to change it manually.

Thanks
Hi,

I have applied for student finance for a full time open university course I plan to start in February 2017, however it can't find my course so won't assess my application. There is no UCAS code for open university courses so I am struggling with what I am supposed to do.
Hello
I'm having trouble with my student finance application because I can't provide bank details. Although I can't provide bank details because I don't have the right ID however Santander said that they would accept my UCAS letter and a letter from student finance saying I am entitled to a student loan. What do you suggest I do as my course starts next week.

Hi, as you are studying an open university course, this would be deemed as part time when making your application online, we will therefore not request a UCAS code. thanks

Hi Emma, we would ask that you leave the bank details section clear at present and once you have provided the relevant evidence to the bank and and have your account you can then advise us of your bank details. Thanks
It won't recognise the course i entered because it isn't the one I entered. I can't access the part of the application to change as it says there is an error and it won't load any further. I think this an IT problem. Just wondering if it's going to be fixed anytime soon.

Hi SMcb,

If you cannot locate your course, please check with the university, the course title, as they have listed it on the database and if they still have to update the database with your course information.

Thanks Rona
Hi, it sounds like you selected a full time application instead of part time.

Thanks, Isaac
