£3706, with £190 a term for food included. I'm pretty sure all ensuite rooms at college are the same so yours should be the same as mine.

How is everyone else's so cheap? I'm at girton and its £5795, for random accomodation and no food allowance. Might not even get ensuite

My contract is only for about 26 weeks of the year, do you have to pay for vacations even if you don't stay?

Maybe something like this:

Goes great with most skin tines.
I'm scared now lol. I'm not sure I have everything I'll need and I have no idea what to do if I don't

Very uncharacteristic panic mode from our cool compsci kid......

Have you received a welcome pack from your college?
They usually include 'check-list' in it.

As long as you have a two (or more) alarm o'clocks to position strategically in your room, so you can definitely get up, you'll survive....

Cambridge does have a few shops, you know. And access to the internet...

Lovely choice. He won't have to shave his legs with the dress like that, which is another bonus.

Yeah I've had a welcome pack but no definitive check-list :frown: I need just one more bit of spoon feeding before I go

If you've forgotten something it's probably not going to be something you can't wait a day for from Amazon.

Or he'll have to use concealer on his back... that wouldn't be cheap.

A nice shawl will cover it ok. Can you find something dressy for him too?
I think nice pink lacy one will go very nice with that dress.

- usual toiletry, like toothbrush/paste, shaving kits, etc.
- towels (you need extra for rowing)
- laundry-related things = a compact drying rack & lots of hungers are really handy. Saves a lot of money < less tumble-drying. You can buy washing powder in a laundry room (I think), but it'll be much cheaper if you buy a large pack from a shop when you get there.
- Duvet & Bed linens.... Unless your college provides it for you. May worth taking your pillow, too. Some of college pillows can be not very nice......
- a suit....or two, and shirts & ties to go with it....and a pair of leather shoes.
- a set of basic tableware & cutlery
- a very basic set of pot/pans/utensils
- clothings/underwear
- a laptop, stationery
- extension cord with multiple mains is very useful.
- Yourself
