Yo dude, the DB Spring Week this year was streamed into specific divisions, and everyone on the Corp Fin (IBD) focussed on it for the whole time. Unless it has changed, DB is definitely division-focussed. Guess you have heard dif from another source?

On the app page it says:
Spring into Banking/IT.

So unless they're not recruiting for other divisions at all, it would make no sense for there to only be one application.

But correct me if I'm wrong, did you have different options to apply to last year? Or was it a case of selecting which programme you applied to on the application page?

Seems a bit weird.

Alright, just rechecked and there are multiple options to choose from at DB now aha.

Would help if they opened everything at once :')

Sorry for that.

Good luck to everyone applying to spring week 2017! I am going to start software engineering for business at Queen Mary university of London and was wondering if you think I will be able to get a place? I feel like they will only want students from Oxbridge, LSE, UCL, Imperial, and Warwick. Is there anything I can do to make my CV stand out? Thank you very much.

I think I remember a few QMUL people on SWs this year, so definitely a chance. Decent degree, maybe focus your CV on strengths of tech/ software engineering and how this links to your interest in Banking/ whatever role you go for (i.e. tech?). Give it a shot dude, network a fair bit when they are at fairs in London. Good luck.

If you apply for SW, approx. when will you hear back?

Seriously no guideline. Some places will get back within a week of applying/ interviewing. I got my first offer in 2015 like mid October. Others I didn't hear a peep from until late Dec.

Non-rolling places (like GS) will ofc not say anything until deadline has passed.

Best bet to get an idea is to ask HR teams when they do the rounds on campus, but it will totally vary firm-to-firm and even person-to-person, unfortunately.

Anyone done the Credit Suisse Verbal test yet? I just sent of my application for the Spring Insight programme but was not expecting it to give me a verbal test to do immediately...

It's super easy, don't panic. You'll get a numerical one immediately after completing the verbal one as well.
Is there verbal and numerical tests for the technology spring week as well?

Awesome thanks for the reassurance, I'm going to do them tomorrow afternoon when I've got time. I'm going to assume they're just standard tests, do you know which format they followed?

And what about the numerical one?

Anyone know how important CV is in terms of layout and wording when it comes to application? I have a decent CV in terms of content but I feel it could be severely improved and was hoping to get some help from this once Uni starts (Starting at Nottingham btw if anyone else is)
