What part of London do you like the most? When you were a child, did you live in London and go to school there? If yes, do you think it is better now or before?
What do you love most, the hyper-inflated house prices, the smell of exhaust fumes the moment you leave your front door or the depression-inducing light pollution?
We have got high house prices because London is great and people want to come and live here instead of in places like Liverpool and Manchester and the other UK cities.
Don't live there, only half London. It's a fun place, but there is something terrifyingly soulless about the place, I find it sickening, it's like the opposite end of spectrum of those UKIP voting depressed ex-fishing towns, so I can see why you love it, but for me places between the two, cities like Cambridge are the best. I love foreign culture, but I love it because to me it seems to untouched by Western commercialism, so to go to a place which has prepackaged and commercialised every part of human existence just makes me think it's fake as ****.
but this is true, North Londoners are well dressed intellectuals, west Londoners are just toffs, South Londons are gangstas and Eastenders, well the less said about them the better.

People don't want to live in London, it's just that most of the jobs are there. They would prefer to live in affordable and British towns.
1. Right now, I think lots of places East are pretty good - especially around Hackney and Dalston areas - also I like the usual places that most people like, eg, the parks.
2. Edinburgh is fab. I love San Francisco, Berlin, Rome and Paris.
1. Ah cool Id say my favourite part(s) are Southbank, and Wimbledon (where my girlfriend is from). I'm not from London though
2. Always wanted to go to San Francisco. I'd say my favourite city though is Bristol but I did love there for three years for uni
I live on the outskirts of London and it's fun to go shopping there but getting there to go to work is pain 😪 I had to take 2 trains, the jubilee line and the DLR when I was working in London and it took about 1.5 hours to get there and I had to be here by 7:30 xx

Answered the first sentence already. I grew up in Oxford, but I was away at boarding school a fair bit of that time. I sometimes stayed with my dad in London and sometimes with grandparents on mum's side, who both live in W. London. So I kind of had a fair bit of experience of it without living here. Therefore things weren't a shock.

So many stereotypes, so little time to get them all out there.

I know peeps think that, but actually, it really isn't true - London isn't just a magnet because of all the jobs, it's also because people genuinely want to live in big, busy, cultured, dynamic, and, yes, ethnically diverse places. You see the same phenomenon everywhere in the world.
There's a lot of opportunities there but it can be a false economy for people. You can often end up with more disposable income from lower wages in Manchester, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
It's a cool place to visit but I don't think I'd want to live there.

That's a pretty early start, what was the job?
I think I'm lucky because I live quite near work, at least in my current job, so I don't currently suffer the commuter hell that makes life hard for a lot of Londoners and people who travel in to work.
So many stereotypes, so little time to get them all out there.
It's not entirely serious, but there is no denying that North London has done itself proud in terms of political intellectuals, not that I care or anything.

You have high house prices because lots of top jobs are there, it's not the same.

Well so long as you don't care, that's the main thing.
