I've dropped Geography for Statistics, so now My A-levels are Maths, Chemistry, Statistics, Graphics and the extended project qualification

So how many of you already made friends? The ones that started already.

i have (somewhat). although everyone's new here so it was really easy to make friends just by asking people's names and what subjects they do. i've been spending a lot of time working instead of socialising though which is why i haven't made a proper group of friends (apart from my maths squad lol)

a good idea is to ask if anyone wants to set up a whatsapp group chat for your subjects; our maths one descended (or ascended depending on how you look at it) into memes but now i'm cool with everyone in it

Had my first lessons today, and already have two essays for homework. One for English lit and one for sociology. I would have cried if I'd gotten an essay for History.
Other than that an overall great start, I can't believe I just had my first day and some people have finished their first week

Essays already😳 I've got a lot of work but it's mainly research

Arh wow. We're doing Charles 1 because it fits in with witchcraft, but we don't do witchcraft till next year. I have 2 teachers. I already know what I want to do for my coursework I want to do America or Germany

Haha I know!and aqa

Yeah, a lot of the questions are "thinking questions" where we have to apply our knowledge and understand in any context. Apparently, only learning facts will result in you getting an E at A Level

I'm also taking chemistry. Which exam board are you doing?

We haven't been told what we're doing at A2. I have 3 teachers - 1 for Early Tudors and 2 for the Crusades. I'm not sure what I want to do at the moment but I'm thinking about doing something related to Africa or Asia because I haven't learnt much about them at school.
