As for getting 100 posts, it's simply trying to make a post that has a post number that is a multiple of 100. If you scroll back to post #100, you will find that this was one of mediaya's posts. She therefore was the first person on the leader board. The next person got a 100 post on post #200, and so on.

It just adds a bit more competition in the lead up to the 10k post, which is the most important one because whoever gets that is the winner of the thread.
