I'm assuming you've not covered the unit I'm talking about then because you certainly will not be saying that when you get a flipping complicated trig identity to prove in an exam and you haven't got a clue where to start...

Tbh you don't really get questions about mapping, all you need to know is functions are used to covert one number to another. It's more about understanding. The textbook does not cover it well, check out past paper questions on physicsandmathstutor
