Which medical school to apply to?

Hi,
GCSE 8A* 2A(eng lang & lit) B( PE)
AS 4A's (phy chm bio maths)
Carrying on with chm bio maths
Predicted AAA ( teachers are happy to predict A*AA if needed)

Ukcat let me down so much
VR 430
QR 680
AR 610
SJT band 2

What might be the uni's were I could apply for, with the potential of getting an interview ?

I'd say take the BMAT, and maybe apply to Cardiff, Oxford ( bit risky ), QUB and Bham/ Maybe Bristol if you have a good PS

If you don't mind me asking, how much work did you do for the UKCAT?

Probably 3 hrs a day for 3 weeks
Could anyone advise me on where to apply?
The only place i truly have my heart on is St.andrews but I am aware I need to be realistic and find other options.

GCSEs: 1 A* 10 A's 1 B
AS: A/B Psychology (getting remark) B Latin
A2 (predicted): Biology-A Psychology- A CHemistry- A
UKCAT= 650 VR
740 QR
650 AR
Band 3 SJT (680 avg)

Work experience: 8 days pediatrics
1 day opthalmology
2 days neurology/neurosurgery
1 day ENT
1 Day audiology
Young doctors summer school

Extra-curricular:
red cross events first aider
Head of house (school)
Prefect
Latin tutor at school
Orchestra
County Junior golf captain
County 1st team Golfer
Junior Club captain (golf)
Psychology of criminal profiling diploma
Basic Sign language Qualification
Grade 4 ABRSM Piano
Self taught guitar (grade 7) , bass guitar, drums
Brown belt karate

Hey there,

You've got a pretty good A level / GCSE record there! Well done! With grades like that, even with a low UKCAT score, you could still apply to universities like Cardiff, which only uses the UKCAT to determine the best candidate in a tie-break situation.

We've actually got a free blog on which unis to apply to with a low UKCAT score. Just follow that hyperlink!
