History Coursework Help

Hey Guys i really need some help with which topic to choose for history because my topic about the 18th Dynasty in Ancient Egypt wasn't approved by the exam board which is AQA because it was over 120 years.
i really need some help because i cannot seem to find anything! :frown:

Does it need to be from the last 120 years? Can it be literally anything in that time period?

No he hasnt he just said that it can be anything you want as long as it spans a period of time which is around 100-120 yrs.
so i could not do events like WW2 because they lasted less than 100 years

The area that i choose for the courswork has to span around 120 years maximum so like 1560-1660 or somethinh but i did ancient egypt 18th dynasty and it was way over the limit of years i could have i think 251 years over😅. The topic doesnt need to date back to only 120years though it can go into BC and it can be anything.Im so sorry if ive confused you 😬

I did Nazi Germany. Looked at pre-Hitler, Hitler era and post-Hitler.

Pick a topic that has loads of resources.

I checked with my teacher and he said that i cannot do the Tudors or Nazi Germnay and Hitler because those are the components for the A level course im doing 😭
Im so confused, i really wanted to do ancient egypt but there arent enough historical interpretations for egypt

Ah, that's a shame. Ask your teacher what he specialises in so he can help you. I wouldn't recommend you do a topic he knows very little about. You want him to be able to teach and help you.

I am surprised he hasn't given you any recommendations. Definitely ask him for ideas and ask him what topics people in his previous classes did and their grades. Do make sure that whichever topic you pick is one what you will enjoy learning, reading and writing about for many hours.

Perhaps you could do something on how Britain or British politics has changed from 1900-2000/1800-1900. For the 1800-1900 period you could also look at the Industrial Revolution. Depends what you're into really. There's a lot of 'movements' (like the Industrial Revolution) which you could focus on, but there's also a lot of 100+ year wars you could do if you're more into battles n such.
