Rather simple calculation but I need help in understanding the
Problem:
*For every 500 points you get £5.
Work out how many vouchers you get per pound.*I've worked out that you get £0.01 per voucher as £5/500 = £0.01. So 500 * 0.01 = £5
*But this doesn't help with the problem. Is it just a case of 500 vouchers / £5 = £100. So for 500 vouchers I need to spend £100 (I would have thought this would have given me vouchers per pound?) Continuing therefore 500 vouchers/£100 = 5 vouchers. So for every £1 I spend I get 5 vouchers? Is this the easiest method to my workings?
If I turn it into algebra 500v = £5
500v/5 = £5/5
100v = £1
But they have £1 = 5 vouchers
I hope this makes sense!!*
