Clinton may have supported an illegal war but at least she didn't propose colonialism

In the old days when you won a war, you won a war. You kept the country. We go fight a war for 10 years, 12 years, lose thousands of people, spend $1.5 trillion, and then we hand the keys over to people that hate us on some council.

Said Donald Trump. By the way, colonising a country and draining it of its natural resources is against international law. You can't bleed a country dry while at the same time preventing it's citizens from entering your own, not unless you're nothing more than a nasty bully.

Does anyone pay attention to international law these days? In fact, did they ever?

Most nations like to be seen as abiding by international law, unless they are pariah States that just don't care, like Libya was under Qaddafi. The latter is often isolated from the international community, which is why it is in their interests to at least abide by international law on most occasions. The US has accepted ICJ judgements that went against her favour because there was more to lose in rejecting them than gain.

Something as widely condemned as robbing a country of its natural resources wouldn't just slide.

What is wrong with colonialism? All Africa would wish it back since they were better of under french or british rule.

Well unlike now they were not starwing from hunger, killing each other or dieing from disease. So it is plausible that many Africans wish colonialism back.

Afterall, why would they all want to move to Europe to serve the whites? Isnt it better Europe bring standard to them afterall.

I asked for a source that they loved colonialism and want it back. Do you have it or not?

The majority of South Africans are likely to say that life was better off or the same under apartheid,.

According to a poll conducted by Afrobarometer in 2015, only 37% of South Africans said that life had got better under ANC rule. In terms of employment and equality, more than 50% of respondents said that things had got worse since the ANC got into power; and on the whole, more people are likely to say life was better under the ANP (38%) than it is under the ANC (37%).

I imagine if you ask Zimbabweans if they believe life was better when they part of Rhodesia, they'd say yes as well given Zimbabwe has become one of the most indebted and stagnant countries in the world since its revolution.

Ah yes, I forgot YouTube videos are considered reliable sources in the age of the edgy, "we've had enough of experts" alt-right nationalists who insist only they should have the right to self-determination and not have their "freedoms" eroded by those pesky non-white people, while defending colonialism and actual imposition on said non-white people. You couldn't make it up!

Plenty of black people preferred living under slavery too, and women were happier when they had fewer rights (i.e. marital rape was legal). Perhaps we made a mistake by abolishing slavery and giving rights to women too?

Nah, how come Hong Kong was clever enough to use the advantages of the Empire and not Africa?

Africa is free to long to blame it on colonialism. Consider how many aid is Europe sending them annualy and yet they still are not able to prosper.

The truth is the Empire invested a lot in infrastructure of Africa and a lot in education of Africans. The infrastructure is used to this days.

OTHER STATES took over their land and DRAINED THEM OF THEIR RESOURCES

No ex-colony has been drained of its resources. Zimbabwe has rich agricultural land and had 400,000 agricultural jobs prior to independence. It also had 1.4 million tourists annually. Its incompetent and corrupt post-independence government has reduced the former to virtually nothing and the latter by 75%. The government has allowed a tourism major resource, wildlife, to be vastly reduced. Gold production has slumped through government incompetence, not used-up resources.

There are parts of Africa (regions, tribes, economic groups) that were better or worse off by various different definitions before or during, or after colonialism. Generally speaking however, when people say they were "better off" in a dictatorship (i.e. Iraq under Hussein) or other oppressive systems, they're voicing their discontent with the current political establishment, not the freedom and the system of democracy itself. Only an absolute idiot with no understanding of human behaviour would interpret these polls as saying "BRING BACK THE APARTHEID, PLEASE INVADE AND SUBJUGATE US, O WHITE PEOPLE".
Imagine actually supporting Hilary Clinton, what a lizard

What is the alt-right?

And no, I am not against self-determination of Africans. I am just saying they were better off under Anglo-Saxon rule than under their current "freedom". Let say if the majority of black in Zim make a referendum where the majority support to be back under Anglo-Saxon rule, would you back their will?

Oh and the video is from BBC Panomara aired in 2009. The poor black person is probably death by now..

No, you made a claim so the burden of proof is on you to provide supporting evidence. You have not. I'm sure that you can find a random Jews who thinks that the Nazis weren't all that bad as well.

So the lives of people with incompetent leaders still bad, and the solution is to put them back under a discriminatory system. Clever :claps:

Besides, I asked about colonialism. Is their any evidence to support the statement that "Africans want to be colonised again"? I think not. Even the people in those two countries aren't asking to be colonised.

The other poster already did it. Comparing holocaust to colonialism is so factual inacurate.
