Not yet...I'm just trying to get an idea of when we can expect to hear anything. If what Jayloo's says is correct re the start dates in October, when are supposed to hand in our notices given that most employers require a month minimum?!

I got told that my employment checks have not even started due to my refrences which i gave in feb have expired so need to provide updated references at office but no one has called me to give me a time to come in. Someone should have rang me last week but im still waiting 😞
Well done RChilton! I'm in the Newcastle office so I guess I'll be seeing you in a couple of weeks! Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
Bit of a random question but does anyone know what hmrc are like for honouring already booked holidays? Got a holiday booked for December and currently going through the pre employment checks for an O position in Manchester. Don't particularly want to have to cancel 10 days in the sun!

I wouldn't worry about it. They'll take a common sense view. No one's going to make you cancel your leave. Just mention it to your manager when you meet them.

Thanks! I did think that but everyone was winding me up saying what if they don't let you have it! Then I started panicking haha

Thanks, unfortunately it has fell through as my checks aren't near enough done and I would be too far behind by the time I started. But never mind there is always next year! I'm going to take the HO role I've been offered in the mean time so will maybe see you in a few months. Hope TSP is going well.
That's a shame. The HO role will give you some good experience though which will give you a head start on TSP next time. I'm sure I'll see you around the office :-)
Like several other people on this thread, I received an email on 16th August 2016 with a provisional offer for an 'O' grade role in Liverpool on the back of TSP 2016 - passed stage 2 but didn't score high enough to go through to assessment stage. I have heard nothing since in terms of progressing my pre-employment checks. I have emailed twice, rang CS Resourcing several times and have been told to email in my query. The only response I have had on 27 August 2016 to my emails is as follows:

'The vacancy holder will be in touch in due course to request the relevant forms and documents that require to progress your pre-employment checks.' I was just wondering whether anyone else in the same situation has heard anything back.

In any case I'm not holding my breath to be honest, so will be applying for the new HO role which went live this week as well as TSP 2017.

Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you.
I'm wondering if the speed of processing depends on which office you will be based at.

I presented all my documents at Nottingham on Friday and had an email to complete my DBS and health declaration yesterday so things look like they are progressing.

Is dbs and health questioaire the final stage of pre employment checks? So next stage would be formal offer.

I have just had this email response from CS Resourcing this morning:

'We are still awaiting confirmation from the vacancy holder to commence your checks.
As you are an external candidate, you will be invited to complete an online DBS, this will indicate the beginning of your pre-employment checks. We normally give up to 4 weeks for pre-employment checks, as long as there are no delays with collecting information. Kind Regards'

When people are referring to being invited to complete online DBS, is this the form that was on CSR when accepting the provisional offer and providing HR email and contact number? Not sure if it's because I'm internal civil service, but I was given the option to give my approval for a dbs check and send off the health questionnaire basically straight away after receiving the provisional offer for HO.

Anybody know if this is the final stage or am I waiting for another, more detailed, dbs form? Mine basically gave a yes or no option for "have you ever been convicted..."

It's been 3 weeks already so can imagine this dragging out for a long time if I'm still waiting for further declarations etc.

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. It took about 3-4 weeks, I'm not sure precisely. Also, I've been made a formal offer now as well, about 2 weeks after my pre employment checks were done which should give an approximate timescale.

Yes, I only got to stage two. I know, that does bother me a bit to be honest but I mean it's a good graduate job with decent pay so I'm not gonna look this gift horse in the mouth haha. Hope they've got back to you now.

Hey, did you receive a provisional offer for the HO role or the O role and also when did you receive your provisional offer?

Many thanks!

I completed the character verification and pension questionnaire when I took my documents in to be copied - you don't have to do anything until asked to.

Hey what role did you apply for and did you have to take in the documents after receiving a formal offer?

Hiya

I originally applied for TSP but didn't make the cut. Got a provisional offer for a tax professional caseworker role in Nottingham in mid August. Was asked to take my documents in last week and have done my DBS and health form this week.

Still in the pre employment checks stage so no confirmed offer yet.

What about you?

Hey,

Similar situation but offered the O grad role for London and haven't received any DBS checks or any correspondence since receiving the provisional offer around mid August. When did they get back to you regarding your DBS checks?

I had a phone call to take in documents last Tuesday and DBS email came through on Monday this week.

It's agonising I know but sit tight - they will get to you. From what I've read on this thread and others, it's a slow process!

Anyone from the original TSP reserve list been asked to take in these documents etc. for an HO position? Pretty sure we filled all that stuff out and took certificates down to the assessment centre and they took copies. Just wondering if they'll use them, as I'm unaware of these steps others here are talking about and my application doesn't have the attachment section.
