Have a mix of A-Level and BTEC results, which entry requirements do I satisfy.

Hello,

I have a question regarding the A-level/BTEC requirements the universities give.

I did 2 A Levels, and 2 BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diplomas and got an A and a B for the A-Levels, and two D* for the BTECs.

Many Universities say they accept an equivalent result in BTECs.

Which entry requirements do my results satisfy? (for the Universities that accept BTECs) AAA? AAB? A*AA? A*A*A?

In theory a D* in a L3 BTEC is equivalent to an A* at A-level. So D*D* AB is equivalent to A*A*AB.

BUT you will need to check with the specific universities you are considering.

e.g. Birmingham says:

Also, are the A-levels in similar subjects to your BTEC? If so you can't double-count them afaik.
