As Chem Moles

5.00 g of a mixture of MgSO4.7H2O and CuSO4.5H2O was heated at 120C until a mixture of the anhydrous salts was formed, which weighed 3.00 g. Calculate the percentage by mass of MgSO4.7H2O in the mixture.

How would i do this question (method)?

Unparseable latex formula:

[br][br]\begin{align}[br][br]\text{MgSO}_4 \cdot 7\text{H}_2\text{O} &\rightarrow \text{MgSO}_4 + 7\text{H}_2\text{O} \\[br][br]\text{CuSO}_4 \cdot 5 \text{H}_2\text{O} &\rightarrow \text{CuSO}_4 + 5\text{H}_2\text{O} \\[br][br]\therefore \underbrace{\text{MgSO}_4 \cdot \text{7H}_2\text{O} + \text{CuSO}_4 \cdot 5\text{H}_2\text{O}}_{\textbf{5g}}\rightarrow \underbrace{\text{CuSO}_4 +\text{MgSO}_4}_{\textbf{3g}} +\underbrace{12\text{H}_2\text{O}}_{\textbf{2g}}[br][br] [br][br]\end{align}[br][br]

Does this help?
