Britain MUST take in more refugees

Scroll to see replies

No we shouldn't, there is other alternatives and ways to help the refugee situation which doesn't involve bringing them all to the UK to place even more pressure on our NHS and housing, such as a slight increase in the international aid budget or building specialist refugee camps with all the living resources needed to maintain a person.

And because of a few bad apples (and bad integration efforts), you want to reject people fleeing from war and terror?

You, sir, are scum.

Lol i don't think people who voted leave are 'uneducated' or 'xenophobic' i think the person who is too ignorant enough to take into side the other point of view is.

I do have taken 'into side the other point of view' and have rejected it as inhumane and highly xenophobic - as every decent human would.

It is easy to say yes because words don't cost, simply before saying yes to more refuges take one to your home, then we will start discussion.

Mate, to still have red gems is quite an achievement and shows a pro-level troll. Best to just ignore him till he disappears back under the bridge.

What we should be doing is not invading unstable countries and then leaving the place in a mess.

Can you name any?

Secondly the government should be helping the thousands of homeless people across the UK. It makes me angry that our governments can send millions in foreign aid to corrupt overseas governments who do **** all for their own people.

Foreign aid is an extension of the defence budget. Buying friends. It's better to pay a bit of money and not have these people join up with your enemies or attack you by themselves.
No we should not, there are not all refuges. 75% of them are not even from Syria most are from places like Nigeria or Eritrea. Why must it always be that Briton must do everything we can not support every one who wants a better life with out it effecting the lives of our own people. I mean where are we going to house all of these so called refugees after all there is a housing shortage and the NHS is under pressure . You never hear of countries like Romania or Bulgaria taking in so called refugees maybe they should take some, after all we are housing swams of their populations.

People that are fleeing WAR take priority over the homeless.

Let me ask you this: if you had the choice, would you immigrate to a country like Romania or one like England?
No, Britain must NOT.

Those that think it should should be required to house them at their expense.

It's appalling that we are stalling on this issue and failing to take in our fair share of refugees.

Even Tim Farron, leader of the Lib Dems, has said that an aid worker told him that Britain needed to "take some effing refugees" and that he is ashamed we aren't doing enough: http://win ww.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/aid-worker-told-tim-farron-britain-must-take-some-effing-refugees_uk_57e14996e4b0d584f7f2d0a3

Numerous celebs have also come out in support. Carey Mulligan has said she is ashamed to be British over our failures to take refugees: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/carey-mulligan-ashamed-to-be-british-over-uk-response-to-refugee-crisis_uk_57e10f13e4b028e52a120c58

We MUST help and take in more refugees.

Have you considered donating to the EDL or Britain First? At this point in time, such a policy will most likely feed into the far right agenda and help them gain more support.

Are you hinting that you'd rather be in Syria?

Libya? Where's the invasion?
Syria - we stayed well out of it and look what happened.
Iraq - really? You're saying it was a peaceful country beforehand? Not saying things got better, but it's not like it was in good shape.
Palestine - ?? I don't even. who was the last country to carry out an invasion there?

They're not fleeing war, they're fleeing France.

'According to the polls, university graduates were the most likely people to want to remain in the EU - while those with a GCSE or equivalent as their highest qualification were more likely to back Brexit.'
