The black community has been the assumed base of the Democratic Party, with previous Democratic nominees for President of the United States receiving an average of 90 percentage points from black Americans. In the 2008 election, Barack Obama received an overwhelming 96 percent of the popular vote from blacks which helped him win key battleground states like North Carolina and Florida. Race relations in the United States have reached an all-time low, with racial disharmony in many of America's municipals leading to a surge in support for radical political movements advocating racial separatism. Nevertheless, even with the ascendancy of Black Lives Matter and the left's ensued obsession with identity politics, the number of black Americans - according to the latest poll provided by the LA Times and USC - shows Donald's support among America's black populous has reached an unprecedented high for the Republican Party; and an unprecedented low for the Democrats.

According to the poll, 14 percent of black voters say they would vote for Donald Trump in the General as oppose to 77 percent who say they would vote for Hillary. Although 14 percent mightn't sound all that impressive, when you consider the demographics in purple states like North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Ohio and Virginia, Republicans' receiving at least 10 percent of the black vote is imperative to ensuring a Republican President in the White House.

Fact of the day- the Democrats haven't won the white vote since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964. In the twelve subsequent elections the Republicans have comfortably won the white vote by an average of 15 points. Bill Clinton came the closest to bucking the trend, losing the white vote by 2 points in both of his electoral wins. Barack Obama lost the white vote by 20 points in 2012. Both British and American politics appear to sadly be divided along ethnic lines, with white voters solidly favouring one party and ethnic voters overwhelming voting for another.

They were never persecuted in terms of mass extermination like in the case of Poles, Jews etc.. but they certainly weren't treated well.
