Why is A-level maths SO much harder than every other A-level?

AS levels are insultingly easy if its not maths (and some sciences, like chem/physics/computer science).

I got 90% doing MEI last year so arguably one of the harder maths A-level courses. I thinks it's one of the few subjects that requires a high aptitude ... Just like how you can't be good at art just by reading text books. For maths you need to have a strong understanding and not just the ability to regurgitate knowledge as the whole exam is about advanced application.

I guess this is why universities value it so highly and if you did so much work then either you revised wrong or it's just not your cup of tea? For my AS I did a past paper for each exam under timed conditions everyday for a month before each exam, which really payed off.

I plan to do twice this amount for my A2s to get my A* and I strongly recommend anyone doing maths to do every past paper available!

The obvious satirical bait wasn't enough for you to detect a joke...
