What are your Investment Banking ambitions?

What's the end goal for you?

Analyst 1 -> 2 -> Associate -> VP

Would you be happy being stuck at a VP position?

Would you want to become a director or an MD?

Or perhaps some of you just want to exploit a relatively high analyst salary then leave?

Seriously though, do you truly believe you'll go beyond VP?

Seems most people will be capped at around £200k in about 10-15 years, if they don't suffer a mental breakdown/quit or are fired

Analyst for about 2-3 years then move onto a hedge fund and hopefully after gaining all the experience for a couple of years and gaining the money simultaneously I will invest in my own hedge fund/business!

Study Maths at a high level become a quant analyst. You'll literally be on £60k-150k+ bonuses as soon as you start.

That is, if you truly know your sh*t.

At least a Masters in a mathematical subject (Engineering/Stats etc)

Become proficient in comp sci, quant developer.

If you know your sh*t £100k+ starting is plausible.

And working in general financial informatic infrastructure, pays just as well.

£500 a day is commonly seen.

Everything I've said you can verify on sites like indeed, and quant focused job listing sites.

Pretty sure a 30k salary is secure and good enough. There are people who sacrifice everything for money...

LMAO...I am pretty sure that these are not the reasons why you want to be rich,...

I also maybe want to do some forex trading whilst following MY PASSIONS. Working for an NGOs and travelling around to help people.
But I dont want to make money my main priority
