Question 1 b).

I got the answer as 440m, which is correct according to the mark scheme. It does not seem to make sense though. If the aircraft is travelling in a straight line, how is it that AB is 1.20km and the entire length of AC is 760m?

AB is the length of the runway. The plane takes off before reaching the end of the runway - this is good news for the passengers!

C is between A and B. So AB>AC>BC
