Is it OK to fill out the PN1 form with x's instead of ticking?

So basically I am waiting for my student finance, however I am stressing baout whether I completed it correctly, I put x's in the boxes, instead of ticking, please tell me that is OK?? (I used blank ink and wrote in capitals)

They are worked by a data entry team.

X is ok as long as it's clear what you have put on the form *
