Question is when do notice periods start from are they from provisional offers or from formal offers. Besides on my email they said they will be in contact with my manager very shortly.

Yeah I believe is from formal offer. I received an email for my formal offer on friday 23rd sept and my start date is 24 Oct. . Too long for me thou . Just want to start my new job asap.

Can i ask what campaign you came from what role and the location you will be starting at? You seem to be well ahead of most of us.

I had to take a passport photo in too and she had to sign the back to prove it was me so it has to be done in person, thankfully the office I went to was only a 20 minute bike ride away!

Yes good point, lucky you . Going to buy train tickets later.

Hi, yes you can complete and sign the forms beforehand. I have 1 month notice too. If they respect our notice periods it means we'll probably start mid-November 😕

I hope they stick to it because I hold another offer similar to civil service but have been waiting almost 7 months for pre employment checks! I have been in my current job for nearly 5 months that I was expecting to leave after 2 weeks haha.

When I presented my documents yesterday at Euston Tower the lady who helped me said they have until the 18th Oct to finish all checks. So hopefully it won't take 7 months!
I know what u mean, I started my currently job hoping to stay for just 3 months and here I am 1,5 years later

Same here to dude . They are really slow dealing with the recruitment processes. Apparently it a very huge campaign. I was told that most O role will be starting in late oct and early Nov .

Just phoned DBS and HR for my current dept and neither of them have had any contact since I received my provisional offer on 24th August. HR said they had been contacted in January, which I'm assuming was a check carried out before my AC invite, so maybe they will just use that, but the lack of contact with DBS is a bit concerning. I know it'll take several weeks for the actual DBS check, but if they haven't even put in the application yet?..

I dont really think you going to get any infromation from DBS guys. Mine took 9weeks before i got an email from the hmrc that my checks has been complete and the following day i receive a certificate thru the post for dbs and a copy of it will ber sent to hmrc as well. it just a waiting game now mate.

I think that DBS would still have to tell you if an application has been made for your details as it's not something that can be done without your consent as far as I know.

I am not sure if I should put down yes or no for this. I have received a fine for a red light camera and received a £90 fine with the speed awareness course but didn't have any of my points deducted. Having filled in the form and handed it in I was told by someone else that was there that this question was asking if you got involved in motoring offence that were more serious. Can someone help me please?

No!! It doesn't have any negative impact on the process . Mostly Everyone has had one motor offence. I did answer yes and my checks was passed

I'm same position here with Newcastle just hoping start date will be before Christmas. Going to try and get in contact the end of next week if I haven't heard anything.

hope we get a start date at latest for mid November, as I have 2 weeks holiday in mid December. Don't want any clashes with the job. maybe if we all contact csr they'll speed up the process. lol
This recruitment process verges on torture. No start date, no communication, no precise timescale for checks. Left completely in the dark and just told to wait. I'm surprised people haven't had mental health issues because of this process.
