Why do so many people want to get in relationships?

Talking about both genders although as of recent TSR seems to have had a rash of threads by a couple of users (or possibly just one individual :colone:) obsessed with getting into a relationship?

What is the big deal about them?

What is the big deal about them? Partners can be so needy/ clingy and inevitably always make lots of demands on your time and on you, physically, emotionally and financially. Can someone please explain what is so great about being in a relationship because I just don't get it. I have no desire for one either, whether I'm weird or not for that is a matter of your own personal opinion.

I will admit that I've never been in a serious one but the ones I have been in I found quite stifling so maybe I've just been dating the wrong type? Idk.

On this forum I think people are young and wnat soemthing of what they believe everyone else is having.

The right relationship and plenty of all relationships in the beginning cna be wonderful and exciting things. Thtas why they want in bcecayse they idealise a lot.

Reality is they cna be hardwork and as much as there are ups there cna be downs as well if you meet the wrong person.

Everyone wants the elusive right person and you wont find them unless you keep trying.

That said being single has its advantages.
I guess some people want to feel loved and needed. I do feel like that at times but I am also happy being single.

He was just trolling, and it got tiring fast.

But, I think in our society, relationships are portrayed as the 'be all end all' for everyone.

Most guys aren't gonna get regular hole outside of a relationship and they're too pussy to try escorts, so a relationship is the best option.

Because they don't love themselves enough. If you can't be happy on your own, then you shouldn't be in a relationship at all. I don't think any sensible person wants a clingy partner.

How do you know that he's a troll?
Don't we all need someone who cares about us and who we care about, feel respected and loved? Although some people think otherwise but no matter how much you run away from this idea, deep inside you still need someone true in your life, who actually cares about and respects you.
This is TSR though, where lonely people can take refuge.

Are you the same person that called @0to100 a bricklayer?
Do you flirt with girls a lot though? Like I barely even talk to them because I'm too scared
people want somebody to laugh and have a good time with, that understands them.
