Any idea what will the threshold for Manchester Medicine be this year? A roughy gauge will do! I am an international student and got an average of 680!

but they don't rank by ukcat though?

they look at everything a GCSE, A LEVEL PS...UKCAT

Im going for those that rank by UKCAT
Hey Guys,

CONGRATS TO ALL WHO COMPLETED THEIR UKCAT! Nervous for those deciles this weekend :frown:

Quick Q:
International Student who did IGCSES (only allowed to take 9 here): 3 A*'s, 3 A's, 3 B's
IB Diploma Predicted: 41/45
UKCAT: Average of 683 and Band 2 SJ

Would I get an interview at Barts or Kings?

It is impossible to tell because loads of people with better stats than that have been rejected and loads of people with worse stats have been invited to interview.

You definitely have a chance though.

Ultimately that will depend on your Personal Statement.

do kings just rank by UKCAT? or they look at a levels and Gcse's too?

King's is a funny case. A lot of people think that you need 700+ to even be considered but that's a complete myth. Most of the applicants they interviewed last year had a score of 650 or above, and one of the applicants had a score as low as 612, so clearly that's not the case.

They look at your GCSE's and A-Levels along with your Personal Statement. UKCAT is also another factor they take into account but not anywhere near to the extent that people think they do.

Honestly, it is. I guessed the whole of verbal reasoning as I didn't need to do the ukcat and still got an average in the top percentile.

what did you get in VR and your avg?
Original post by YouHaveProblems
590, 730 or something avg but I knew I didn't need it a week before so I decided not to revise from then and conduct a little experiment on whether it's due to chance lol

haha... can you donate that score to me please

Lol yours is just as good anyway.
can anyone provide an example of a way to show empathy in a personal statement or at least mention it?
