heh?
Would rather go to Manchester or York, but not surprising anyway, London and a percentage of the south is extremely expensive.

Defintely beats blackpool. What does blackpool actually have? Edingburgh probably does beat it to be fair but Ive never actually been.I imagine its pretty cold though and probably a pain if you want to travel internationally.

Not been to Edinburgh for years but it's pretty nice from what I remember. The castle is stunning.

Spoiler

They have an airport as well.

It really is pricey, pay a whole lot for a little. Manchester is good or parts of Merseyside for liveable, comfortable places ontop of affordability.

I'm from England and live in Merseyside.

I'm not begging for reps. Couldn't care less about reps. You didn't take issue with everyone else slamming birmingham but you get all cute with me because of our intense sexual history.

No because for some reason you decided to quote me to insult a place you know where I'm from
I never even quoted you and your opinion has nothing to do with me??????

Just post, you don't have to quote me?

Plus no one in here said anything like what you said, no one "slammed" Brum or I'd quote them so hush yourself and iggy me stop tryna get my attention it's too cute. But honestly yea you're just bored and lonely so I'm gonna ignore you. All you want is an argument and it's just sad.

Very good choice and the added benefit is that Scotland one way or another will remain in the EU if Brexit happens god forbid. So you have good employment opportunities, trade and a good economy when many English firms relocate in Scotland.

But why would they leave London for Birmingham of all places which lacks culture, identity has no decent architecture just concrete. Surly Londoners would go to cities with culture like York, Edinburgh or Blackpool, they have identity, nice architecture and culture.

We don't lack 'culture'.

Birmingham = birthplace of heavy metal and bhangra, baltis and phaals, the curry capital of Europe, Lord of the Rings, hobbits and Pre-Raphaelite art. Do you have any idea how big bands like Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Godflesh, the Moody Blues & Steel Pulse are worldwide? I remember some daft idiot on here saying not many famous bands come from Birmingham, I then named multiple that had sold over 50m records.

It's actually funny when people in the UK think Birmingham has no cultural identity, we do, it's black music and metal. Both of which are massive worldwide. Birmingham is a city of innovation and culture, we are just not good at telling our story.

They have gas and electricity in Edinburgh so you could turn on the central heating and the last time I checked there was an airport.

Or you could live somewhere less cold? I was refering to transatlantic flights tbh although edingburgh does seem to do them..But some places the only direct flight is from london. And tbh I've been dragged around so many castles that I no longer care for them.Dudley has a castle so does swansea.

Get the **** out of here!!!

Really? They seriously have gas and electric in Scotland?
As usual, the majority of people slating brum in this thread are probably basing their views on how the city was over a decade ago and have never been here.
