Starting A Level Maths

I am thinking about starting A level maths and I want to make sure my GCSE maths knowledge is up to scratch so which GCSE topics are essential? I know most of the topics but I'd like a list or something to check that I'm confident in what's required

Thanks

Everything you have ever done in algebra, from the easy simplify and solve equations, inequalities, through to quadratics (factorise, solve, formula, complete the square) algebraic fractions and equations. Everything you learned in coordinate geometry, y=mx+c, gradients, perpendicular gradients, circle equation. Graph sketching and transformations, straight lines, quadratics, cubics, 1/x. Everything you learned in trigonometry, SOHCAHTOA, sine and cosine rule, sine and cosine graphs. And all the basics of surds, indices, fractions - with and without a calculator.
...... would be a good start.

Are good cheap books if you want some practice

When you say you are thinking about starting..... be aware that the specification is changing so when and how you will finish is important.

I'm changing a subject and I'm having a test to see if I could do it. I don't know what's on the test but it's supposed to be things like alegbra so I'll go over the stuff you mentioned this weekend. Thanks so much for your reply, very helpful!

No time to buy a book then.
The attached PDF covers roughly the same material.
Good luck
